This recipe is perfect for anyone who has the love for sorbet, whether you own an ice-cream maker or not. For those who don't have an ice-cream maker like myself, the effort of scrapping, and running to and fro from the freezer is worth-it. For a change, I am hitting the lighter notes this weekend, and a healthier one too.
So you think it's just like any other sorbet eh? If you know me by now, I have always love to sneak in a surprise in all my treats. This is still quite healthy in my books, as they say, moderation is key. What didn't tell you first hand is that this sorbet is meant for grown ups. Lets just say, the little Jo in me, added some Mango flavoured Vodka. Yup, do you love me a little more now? Cause I sure love all of you who have supported me throughout my on and off blogging. Drink up, or shall I say scoop up. Cheers everyone!

DeleteHi Jo! This sorbet is so yummy and so refreshing! The running to and from the freezer will help burn off some calories first before we get to tuck into the sorbet, right? Exercise first, eat later :)
ReplyDeleteHI PH! LOL.. you are absolutely right ;)
DeleteHi Jo, nice to see you back from your family vacation! Such a coincidence that your mango sorbet recipe is almost identical to my mango recipe, except I omitted the vodka, because it's a touch-and-go with that. It has less of a chance of freezing well...you literally have to add it at the very end of the freezing process, otherwise it slows up the freezing process!
ReplyDeleteI sure would love a scoop of that yummy goodness right now! Lovely photos...as always:) Big hugs to you my sweet friend!
Hi Eli! Glad to be back; and will try to bake more. Yeah, it does take longer to freeze. But it was well worth the try. Thanks for your tip too!
DeleteTake care and lots of hugs and kisses to you too. ♥ Jo

DeleteAlright! I can feel "summer" with this lime and mango sorbet! Although I don't have an ice cream maker, I am sure that as soon I get one, this is one of the flavours I will try first! I'm usually such an impatient "handmade" ice cream maker, so I'd rather wait for a machine! Also, I grew up in the Philippines where mangos and a local lime called kalamansi are popular fruits! This is right up my alley...
ReplyDeleteHi Jen! Oh! you're not alone. I don't own an ice-cream maker myself too. It's part of my wish list. So I am that crazy person that runs to and fro from the freezer whenever I am craving for a good treat ;). ♥ Jo
DeleteCheers! I do like an addition of flavord vodka. It's a grown ups sorbet ;)
ReplyDeleteOh Gosh Jo,
