Chewy Peppermint Bark Chocolate Cookie

Happy Sunday y'all!! It has been a while since I last posted on a Sunday. Today must be your lucky day.. or is it mine? Gasps!! Just the other day, I decided to try to make an effort to leave the office sharp straight after work and I did. My colleagues were speechless as I am usually the one who would be the last to leave for the day. I suggested to them to buy a lottery ticket ;).. LOL..

I have a couple of posts lined up, and would like to try to post them all up before Christmas. At the same time, I would like to share with you some classic ideas for this Holiday Season. Here's a really simple recipe and does not take up a lot of time in the kitchen too. Not to mention it's filled with all the gooey dark chocolate goodness. As you munch into the CHEWY PEPPERMINT BARK CHOCOLATE COOKIE, there's that hint of tingling minty sensation too from Ghirardelli's Peppermint Bark.

Orange & Lime Bitters Rosette Cookie

I know what you are thinking. Yeah, suddenly I have evolved into a mind reader. You must be thinking, what's with both of the combination of these citrus; orange and lime bitters. Let me tell you, it was a pure innocent mistake. Or is it? Well, we will never really know anyway. However, boy! this "mistake" made me wanted to reach not one or two but three or four of these ORANGE & LIME BITTERS ROSETTE COOKIES.

Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chip & Hazelnut Cookies

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee, rich buttery cookies lingered in the kitchen today gradually making its' way to the dining and living area making it harder to resist. I could feel my mouth watering up, drools making its' way down and while I swallowed and lick my lips, focusing on drafting this post; never once thought that it could be so hard. Okay, so I gave in to my weakness, grab 2 cookies, munching, devouring and enjoying every single bite, while still trying hard to stay focus to type every single word, conjuring up a sentence in my head. Boy! This PEANUT BUTTER-CHOCOLATE CHIP N' HAZELNUT COOKIE is irresistible. Crunchy on the edges, chunky, slightly chewy in the middle with a combination of semi-sweet chocolate chips, peanut butter-chocolate morsels, and chopped hazelnuts in a cookie. Perfect breakfast, tea-time or anytime of a day snack or maybe an excuse for a mid-week snack. So maybe 2 cookies isn't enough?

Baking Recipe: Chocolate Chip Cookie for the Road

Recently, just the past weekend I went on a road trip with 3 of my fabulous girl friends. With my terrible cough and all {Lol}..I drove us 4 girls up North for a food gastronomy. Well, the trip was plan ahead and I surely did not anticipate for myself to be under the weather. {in case you're wondering..}

The Faboulous Four
{Lynn, Jamie, Jo, Steph..missing 1 gal, Ms Fifi. This is for you Fifi, don't forget us. }
We made a pit stop in Ipoh, my hometown where I had a lot of great food memories during my childhood years for a scrumptious breakfast and I managed to catch up with my aunt and uncle who is famous for their Pork Satay. After a lovely pit stop, we made our way further up to Penang or also known as Pulau Pinang.

For the road trip, I've decided to bake good old Chocolate Chip Cookie. Nothing beats home baked Chocolate Chip Cookie {in my opinion}. The smell of freshly baked cookie filled with chocolate chips, a hint of vanilla essence, burnt butter and brown sugar is really intoxicating and in a way it reminded me of the ever so famous 'Famous Amous Cookies' {perhaps better.. >.<}
