Baking Recipe: Blueberry Cheesecake Tartelettes & Happy 2nd Anniversary!

Oh! I can't wait anymore. My initial plan was to post on 1st August as Chic & Gorgeous Treats is turning 2 this year. Wow, can you believe it? I sure can't, who knows.. time really flies and months just went by so quickly that it's hard to slow down and take a moment to remember what I did. It has been 2 years now that I first started my first post on Chic & Gorgeous then; and now finally it has found a voice, and is known as Chic & Gorgeous Treats in the foodies blogosphere.

The past 2 years has been a great adventure. Created my own baking projects and I was crazy enough to buy myself a plane ticket and made my very first trip to San Francisco. Did I mentioned that I flew (close to 24 hours) there all by myself, and organized to meet up with another fellow foodie Elisabeth @ Food and Thrift Finds at the SFO airport? Boy! was I gutsy or just plain nuts? Either way, I found a sense of accomplishment and it was also part of a "to-do" marked off my bucket list. What is amazing is that I got to attend Foodbuzz Festival 2011 and took a photo with Chef Tyler Florence. That was the highlight and epitome of the trip, apart from the bus ride across The Golden Gate Bridge and checking out the ever famous Alamo Square. Plus I got to meet a couple more new friends (Gina, Nami, Visda, Bonni, Devaki, and Angela) where I feel fortunate enough that we still stay in touch either via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or in blog comments. Unfortunately this year my foodie friends, I won't be able to make a trip down as I may not be able to get away. A quick shout out to all my friends in SF and to my local foodie friends (PingVeronica and Jes who's all the way in Singapore). You ladies ROCK! "hope you are all doing well and continue to cook and bake to inspire us all".
To celebrate my blog's 2nd Anniversary, I made a quick and really simple Blueberry Cheesecake Tartelette. The tartelette is packed with flavour and is so easy to make using left over blueberry maple syrup and my left over-shell tarts (*do double up the volume of the measurement to make 2 dozens) which were pre-made a day or two in advanced. You will taste the smokey caramelised taste in the blueberry maple syrup where the maple syrup is heavily infused with fresh blueberries. This helps cuts the richness of the creamy fluffy cheats way cheesecake. To make your lives simpler, you can always opt to buy and use pre-made baked shell tarts from here or at your local bakeries.
Have a wonderful week ahead., THANK YOU to old and new foodie friends who continues to support Chic & Gorgeous Treats. There are more exciting posts lined up, so do pop over and buzz me here.

xx

  30. Hi Jo, I just noticed your comment re: Foodbuzz, and Daily Buzz on my previous post, so I did leave a reply there for you, but you probably will not go back there for my reply, so I brought it here for you!

    ElisabethAugust 5, 2012 11:04 AM

Hi Jo! First of all...Foodbuzz bailed out on us, without a word of any kind of notice...second, enter Daily Buzz! I filled out the form, even for the Featured Publisher, never mind the old contract...that's 'null and void'...no longer exists, just like our Foodbuzz profile, and everything else that was on Foodbuzz...wiped out, as if we never existed! Sad, but true!

Daily Buzz, already picked who they want and are featuring their Top 9. As for buzzing, I'm not buzzing anything, or anybody, if I can't be part of their group! Will just have to accept things how they are until further notice...if any!
    Huggsss to you too!
