Passion-Orange & Vanilla Cream Pops

Lately, I have been on a craze crave over Passion-Fruit. I had so many stocked up, thanks to my greediness, that I was actually running out of time to use them.. LOL. Oh! words can't even begin to describe how lovely they smell. Though they are slightly tart to taste, they just go so well in desserts or drinks. From cakes, to frosting, from panna cotta, to tarts or even  in ice-cream and not forgetting that you could actually infuse your regular tea with it's juice. It is simply delectable and delish.

This pop, has 3 flavours all in one ice-cream. There is the passion fruit curd, then the cream is flavoured with vanilla beans, orange zest and juice. Call me crazy, but it's quite nice actually. You have to try it to know.. so don't judge. It's unavoidable and I can't help it, as I put two of my favourite flavour together [passion fruit juice & orange and cream].
Everybody drinks Coke, Sprite or Fanta Orange, but I go the extra mile. Those sodas won't even get a second chance with me unless I had that sudden crave [lucky them then..]. However, Stewart's Orange & Cream Soda.. 'ding ding ding'.. my eyes are sparkling right now, if only you could imagine..boy! that is like heaven in a glass. While I know there's vanilla cream infused into the soda, I love mine with an extra large scoop of good old vanilla ice-cream. Calories? Lets just say, I have short term memory and wouldn't even bother.
Since I had some left over passion-fruit curd from my Passion Swirl Cake, I decided to add the extra kick to my Passion-Orange & Vanilla Cream Pops.. I mean, when you lick the ice-cream, you get to taste the smooth creamy orange vanilla cream and then there's that slight tartness from the curd and passion fruit juice, where it adds depth and texture. To serve, I drizzled extra passion fruit pulp over the pops. Probably I should call this pop "Passion Overload Pops". Till then.. have a great week ahead everyone.

P/S: Another option is to leave out the curd, and add in the pulp to the popsicle mix. Trust me ;), it tastes superb whether on it's own as Orange & Vanilla Cream Pops or PASSION-ORANGE & Vanilla Cream Pops.

xx
